Dr. Linda Hoopes
"A Roadmap for Embedding Resilience into Your Change Strategy"
The need for resilience has never been more evident, and the topic is top of mind for most of us. Yet there is a great lack of practical guidance on systematically developing systems and strategies for building and supporting resilience in organizations. This presentation will start by summarizing what resilience is and how it works (hint: it's not just about "bouncing back"), and use this framework to outline approaches in 3 areas of application:
- Designing change initiatives to tap into the resilience of participants
- Building systemic resilience to enable change effectiveness, increased engagement, and reduced burnout
- Preparing leaders to model and support resilience
You will walk away with a foundational set of concepts and tools you can start to apply immediately.
About Dr. Linda Hoopes
Founder and President, Resilience Alliance
Dr. Linda Hoopes brings over 25 years of experience in applied psychology and organizational change to her work. She is the founder of Resilience Alliance, which equips coaches, trainers, consultants, and leaders with tools for building resilience and the author of two books: Prosilience: Building Your Resilience for a Turbulent World, which won the 2018 EPIC award for best nonfiction book, and Managing Change with Personal Resilience.
Linda is a graduate of Davidson College and received her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee in 1988. Prior to founding Resilience Alliance, she spent nearly 20 years in the field of organizational change, working with Daryl Conner at ODR and Conner Partners in research, methodology development, and client consulting. She brings a number of other influences to her work including music, photography, sailboat racing, and massage therapy.
